boobs and boobs

So Jeopardy! kingpin and head boob Ken Jennings has lost. Has anyone even paid any attention to this since it was announced that he was going to lose? “What is, I didn’t think so, Alex?”

More boobs… Bootch Davis is out in Cleveland. Officially, he resigned, but it’s not like he wouldn’t get stoned by the general public if he would have made it through this season and said something to the effect of, “Well, it was rough this year, but if you name me President and CEO of the organization, I promise we’ll win SIX games next year!”

He was done, and I think he made the right move. I was kind of on the fence about it, especially last year when it seemed like everytime there was a problem, it got solved, then another problem would come up. It was like an offensive lineman gets hurt, so they swap a couple lineman around, and it works. Until the next guy gets hurt. They swap them around, and two more get hurt. By the end of the year, they would have been better off pushing blocking sleds up to the line of scrimmage. Just about as mobile, and you don’t have to pay their salary if a blocking sled blows an ACL (they don’t have ACL’s, anyway, which is another perk). They had the big old QB controversy, Bootch sticks with his guy (I don’t even remember which one at this point), then he gets hurt. Next guy steps in, does well, gets hurt. First guy comes back, does shitty, Bootch starts playing “Spin the Bottle” to find a QB for the next series on offense. William Green realizes its his job to NOT run into the guys in the other jerseys, then he finds out its his job to run away from psychotic knife-wielding girlfriends. He pretty much fails at both. Lee Suggs steps in goes for 170+ at Cincinnati, then starts this year on the bench. Bootch didn’t exactly have it easy, but when you want to make all the decisions, you have to make all the hard decisions, too.

I only hope and pray that the Browns don’t totally mess this coaching search up and hire someone based on “talent”. I don’t know off the top of my head who’s out there with a winning track record (IN THE NFL!) that might be a good fit for this team, but if I hear the words “hot coaching name” or “potential” in this job search, I just might make some phone calls to Baltimore to see if they want another team. That said, I have faith that the braintrust in Cleveland KNOWS they have to win, and they’ve had 6 seasons now of seeing how NOT to try to achieve that, and they’ll make a good call on both a coach and a GM. Regardless, Sunday against New England could be a LOOOONNNNGGGG day, and next September is way too far off to think about.

Finally, some good boobs. My brother’s first entry into his photo gallery isn’t too bad. After viewing, don’t forget to e-mail him and remind him why his job sucks. Or something like that.
