To the surprise of… uh… no one… back in March when comedian Mitch Hedberg died, it wasn’t a heart attack.

The best part of this one for me is the phrase “multiple drug toxicity”. If you put that in your brain’s best Hedberg voice, doesn’t it sound like something from one of his acts?

“I did not die of an over-dose. It was multiple drug toxicity.”

I still get mad when I think that he likely took so much great material to the grave with him, but now discovering that it really was his own fault takes the anger in a different direction.
