If Franco only wants to play until he’s 50, shouldn’t he have retired like, 10 years ago?
The Braves seem to be addressing your assessment that Franco wasn’t hitting with the Mets because he wasn’t playing enough. He has played in six games for Atlanta in the last week-plus, garnering 21 at bats.
With his sparing play for the Mets he hit .200. With his regular playing time with the Braves he’s hitting .190.
Perhaps his osteoporosis may have something to do with it.
