BlogPoll Week 6

Week 6? So soon?!?!

Thanks to work, festival food and attention paid to another 20-plus point BG loss that actually gave some warm fuzzy feelings at different times in the contest, I didn’t see TOO much consistent college football this weekend. I watched a bit of the early games and much of the Michigan-MSU game (though that “much” came after things were happily in hand), the end of USC-Washington (SNAP THE DAMN BALL!) and bits and pieces of Tennessee-Georgia, with some Sunday Night Miami(OH)-NIU tossed in for good measure. I think there was a bit more, but much of my experience this weekend was highlight show and internets-related. And supposedly, Lou Holtz says “Thank-thhhhh for watc-shchshsssshss-ing!”

Anyway, here’s this week’s poll, with considerable shuffling of upset teams, though I still don’t know that Arkansas win should really rank them ahead of the Auburn team they beat pretty handily. Their body of work (see: USC) doesn’t thrill me enough to rank them higher than an Auburn hiccup (read: “belch”) should drop them. Florida moves into #2 by virtue of beating a more solid opponent than Michigan State’s flag football team, and if USC doesn’t turn things around with a full-speed Dwayne Jarrett back, they might be in for a tumble. Tennessee is re-emerging and Texas is hanging around. I wish WVU and Louisville would just play each other already to break up that duo of craptacular schedulingness. Middle Tennessee State? Really? And you want how much respect???

OK, the poll:
