Why do we read blogs? Why to I do what I can to write something here every day?
Because when Anna Benson gets divorced, the people need to know. Now, the next guy to marry her deserves to get his nuts caught in a vise on live national TV, but she’s single, guys!
Also, because without blogs, I wouldn’t get to read about this. And since MJD made me read about that, I have to share it with you. Let’s just be glad that Roger Clemens didn’t get the commercial spot over Shaq and Mia Hamm.
Unfortunately, some evil bastard has brought us places like MySpace and LiveJournal, giving voices to the ignorant. I was perusing Technorati for Mitch Hedberg posts yesterday, and was hit with a wave of bad font colors, worse backgrounds and horrible writing. Mostly thanks to MySpace. I don’t care if you want to write in aLtErNaTiNg CaSe, just don’t do it in blue text on a pink background. And stop having things flash at me!!!
I think it was then (or maybe today when I was venturing into the world of Facebook, thanks Grant!) that I realized I’m going to be the angry old man on the block about 30 years early.
Now you kids get off my lawn!!!
One other note, Michigan got railed in the NIT final tonight. Mostly their own undoing early, but they weren’t exactly getting help getting a spark going after that. I can only imagine that Brian @ MGoBlog finally gave in and paid attention, and this is exactly what he gets for doing so. Although we were about 3.7 seconds away from seeing a man in a mock turtleneck maul a really old guy with his barehands, which would have been outstanding.
And anyone in Indianapolis tomorrow evening, I know that the crowds downtown are gonna be nutso-insane, and parking will probably be strictly garage-related at $30 a car, but part of me says that I have to get down there and take in some atmosphere. Afterall, the next time the Final Four will be in Indy, I’ll be… 36!!!
I managed to watch most of the Old Dominion game without adverse effect…. shouldn’t have pushed it.
36? Did someone say 36?
Get in to the games if you can man… pay the big bucks. Sacrifice that upgrade to Windows XP for one more year. ;-)
