A link from djl regarding former Tennessee Vols QB Heath Shuler’s run for congress made me laugh.

Then I stopped laughing because (and mostly because I know nothing about Heath Shuler) his candidacy is so much less idiotic than Lynn Swann for Governor of Pennsylvania.

I forget where I saw the link at, I believe it was DeadSpin, but it could have been EDSBS or MJD or any list of other sports related blogging acronyms out there, but Swann knows about as much about Pennsylvania politics as the nail on my right big toe. The curious part is, wouldn’t he stand a much better shot at being governor if John Stallworth was governor first and then bitched to everyone that would listen about how Lynn Swann deserves to be governor too?
