I learned something today.
If the Browns haven’t won in a month and a half, and they’re driving in the closing minutes for the winning score, work becomes secondary, haul ass to the car and listen to the end. Moments like this are why I’m paying for satellite radio (that and the two times in 7 minutes I heard “Just A Friend” by the diabolical Biz Markie yesterday), not for the 20 minute drive into work that consists of two punts and a field goal. So yeah, waiting for work to get done that I didn’t even have to wait for, I made the last second dash to the car to hook up the radio, and realized I had no clue what station it was on. The best I could do was finally stumbling on the Raiders broadcast and finding out the exhilarating 9-7 final that way.
While the backhanded compliments… hold up, there were no compliments. While the comments by DeadSpin weekend lackey MJD were a little hurtful, at least he blessed us with a great Chris Gardocki screen grab.
Of course, Gardocki is wrapping up his second season with the once-flipped off Steelers, so I’d love nothing more than to see Phil Dawson kick a game-winning field goal and return the favor to his one-time touchdown celebrating partner.
