After some unforseen computer-related issues and a whirlwind of activity surrounding that holiday we call “Grey Cup Weekend”, I’m back at it for the final regular season BlogPoll of the year! Wheeee!
I’ll admit, this is going to be quite the effort in futility. I’ve watched games even with a bum computer, but without reliable means of posting a ballot, I watched them in a bit of a different light. What I did learn is that A) the prevent defense still sucks (this, as we inch closer to the OMG 20TH ANNIVERSARY!?!?! of “The Drive”), and B) Tyrone “He Of The Zig-Zag Tibia” Prothro deserves the Heisman as much as anybody.
So here goes:
1. Southern Cal – Flip a coin.
2. Texas – ‘Horns call “heads”. Dumbasses don’t know that “tails never fails”.
3. Penn State – Henne to Manningham saved the BCS’ hide.
4. Ohio State – Just think if the Lord of the Sweatervest could have made up his mind at QB….
5. Notre Dame – Mmmmm… Charlie like candy!
6. Auburn – The apathy for the poll begins… Georgia could have been here, but….
7. Georgia – …if Shockley didn’t miss a game, the loss to Auburn might be overlookable. But a two-loss team can’t go ahead of an equally decent team they lost to.
8. Oregon – Ironically, it’s the “meh” attitude of a Ducks fan that pushed them this low. That and the midseason deepthroating they did to USC.
9. Miami (Florida) – Meh.
10. LSU – Double meh.
11. West Virginia – Are you noticing a trend here?
12. Virginia Tech – Oh how the mighty have fallen.
13. Alabama – Ditto.
14. Louisville
15. TCU
16. Florida
17. Texas Tech
18. Boston College
19. UCLA
20. Michigan
21. Wisconsin
22. Clemson
23. Florida State
24. Georgia Tech
25. Iowa
Yeah, there were going to be a whole lot of “eh” comments through that last half of the poll, so I saved you, me and the children of Tibet the misery.
Coming soon, there’s a whole new roundtable (which I also have missed out on. Man, I’m a pretty shitty blogpoller, huh?) to be discovered. Stay tuned.
