HOCKEY’S BACK!
…did I mention that hockey’s back?
I take it back. While I’m beyond excited to have hockey back (despite two rough outings by “my teams”), the link above proved to be nothing more than “let’s pimp the same six teams repeatedly” crap that ESPN left us with, and reading OLN’s NHL schedule, it looks like more of the same. Maybe I’ll give in and become a Red Wings/Avalanche/Flyers/Rangers/Blues/Stars/Bruins fan so I can actually watch some hockey I give a shit about some day. As much as I like Indy, I really think I’m gonna miss being able to catch just about any Blue Jackets game I want on TV, no matter how crappy they may be.
Of course, the onset of hockey season just means that my purchase of NHL 2006 for PS2 just went from “eh, I’ll get it eventually” to “OMG! INEVITABLE” (OMG! CREDIT again to OMG! BRIAN, of course).
Go Whale.

Pony up and get a satellite dish or at least see if your crappy cable company can pick up Fox Sports Ohio (the Cincinnati variety) or Fox Sports Midwest. FS-O = Blue Jackets games and FS-M = Blues games. Having the dish, I get all the games for free this week (free previews rule) and then next week I am buying Center Ice pkg. Your crappy cable company may offer Center Ice as well. Worst case, you can hang at my place Thursday and Friday nights for all the hockey you can stomach. I had the Blue Jackets on the kitchen and Red Wings on the big screen. It rocked.
BTW, the Whalers are extinct. At least until the southern hockey markets nose dive after the year off and one of them moves back to CT since all the rich bastards in the US seem to have migrated to that area. Would you settle for the Bristol Whalers….playing on the vast ESPN campus?
Totally unrelated, but cancel all plans for tomorrow night….
