Dude, I love the Tribe!

Originally discovered in Deezo’s comments, verified here:

Tribe officials estimate that 10,000 tickets for Sunday night’s game against Minnesota were sold during Wednesday afternoon’s promotion that will continue the rest of the week.

For $5, fans can buy any seat in Jacobs Field except field boxes, club seats and seats in luxury suites.

Tickets must be purchased at the box office or online at Indians.com.

Ah yes, nothing says “we love our team” than “PLEASE buy cheap tickets so people think we get people to go to the games”.

For an extra 35 cents, “fans” can purchase a roster, so they can pretend to know who’s on the team.

  1. Two eternal truths:
    1. Most people only go to Indians games when it’s a place “to be seen”.
    2. The rest of us, the ones who spent years faithfully watching Andy Allanson and Rich Yett day after day after day in the hopes that one day the Indians would get good, want to throttle the people of truth number one.

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a gazillion times. If I wasn’t an Indians fan, I’d have a tough time liking Indians fans.
