Things that are good about the first week or so of April:
-The start of baseball season.
-NCAA Final Four basketball.
-Opening windows and releasing the musty smell of winter.
-The first round of golf.
Things that are not so good about THIS first week or so of April:
-Taking a tee shot off the ribs from about 35 yards.
Oh, quit whining. That’s not half as bad as the welts I left when I used to beat you with a hair brush (a la Lionel Ritchie) for failing to pick up the right items for me from Taco Bell.
Am I the only person that wants to know how this happened? Were you getting ready to tee off from the ladies’ tee when someone hitting from the men’s tees hammered one at you? Or were you trying to emulate Earl Woods and force them to hit over you to teach you to concentrate on the shot?
I was there for Tony’s unfortunate accident. It did happen playing golf. And if I told him once I told him a thousand times: “Don’t get too close to the windmill, those blades can hurt you”. But he just won’t listen.
