While Carolina salvaged a pathetic end to the season run with a three-goal third period comeback in a “nothing but pride” OT win against Florida (ironically in a game that felt just like so many that led to the Cup last year), it’s always fun to pull this one up on YouTube, then wonder how 10 months later, the chills still come flooding back when Justin Williams caps off the win.

The Stanley Cup Playoffs are still the best thing going, in my opinion, but they got a bunch less fun in the last week and a half. See ya next year, Canes.

(Interesting, geek-related sidenote… does HTML come in Canadian? Is it flexible enough to allow “center” tags to be spelled “centre”? I bet that causes a lot of headaches.)

And a fun note, Texas looks to finish off a sweep of the BeanEaters tonight in Arlington on ESPN, and improve to .500 on the season. Hopefully nobody wakes Manny Ramirez up for this one, he’s so much more fun to watch when he’s napping in right field.
