I’m pretty sure I’ve griped about this before, but…
What’s the deal with Steve Williams, Tiger Woods’ caddy? At least when Tiger acts as if he’s bigger than the game, he’s got the hardware to back it up. I didn’t watch much of the British Open today (despite repeatedly reminding myself all week that it was on this weekend), but I did pay enough attention to Tiger on the 18th green. There were all the other caddies being caddies, yet here comes Williams stomping around like any other competitor (shorts aside), with no caddy vest on.
I don’t know if there’s a stern rule about caddies not taking the vests off, but he seems to do this EVERYTIME Tiger hits 18. It’s really bad in late rounds when Woods has the lead. It’s almost as if he knows there’s major photo ops coming, and it’s beneath him to have the uniform on.
I know it’s really petty, but for some reason, seeing him act this way (kicking cameras aside) really grinds my gears.
