Yeah, so much for nothing to write about.

If anyone has an idea how to fix Windows Media Player (series 9) so that it stops fucking me locking up on me, it would be appreciated.

It’s never if I’m playing something from my own computer, but when it tries to play a file on a website, or from a website, it locks up. The sound keeps playing, but the video (if any) stops, and the system locks up for good. Avoiding using it isn’t a solution, since I’ve noticed more and more people firing up WMP-type files when their page loads.
