About four or so years ago when I did my first freelance web design jobs (pretty basic and really non-existant today), I had a client that wanted a website for her small business. Basically, it was a “Spencer Gifts”-type collection of crap sold out of a mobile home. (Yeah, I was that big time.) Upon suggesting a pretty solid, and surprisingly available, domain name for her site, she decided she wanted to go with “exoticlightingandnovelties.net”. (Or dot something, I guess, the idea is that the name was about 2 1/2 times longer than the solid name I came up with.)

Fast forward those four years, and take me out of the equation completely, and ebaumsworld.com points us to the undisputed champion:

After a fairly slow, pretty much out of it day at work, I came through with a pretty solid Giovanni Ribisi comment, follwed by a game-winning “My Two Dads” reference.

Safe to say it probably can’t be repeated verbatim on a website that parents, grandparents and employers can read, but it invoked the names of Ribisi, Stacy Keanan and Klawicki’s Deli.
