For some reason, this story really pisses me off.
I guess its for two reasons. One, if it’s so horrible for you to have your gayness put in the public spotlight, I better not see this guy on the news as a “gay pride” supporter. Although now that he’s got his money and 15 minutes, if he doesn’t turn this into some “it’s horrible being a gay and having everyone know, but you can make it work for you” speaking tour, I’ll be horribly disappointed. (And equally outraged when he does it.)
And secondly, this totally screws my plan of getting someone at my station to call me gay for a little bit of humiliation and a whole lot of a $270,000 payday.
There are no words for how squarely you nailed the title for this post.
My inclination would have been “anything slims”… but in retrospect, I’m going to have to agree with your choice.
Brilliant.
We work hard, and we play hard.
Or any other reference to the “Gay Steel Workers of America.” Keep reaching for that rainbow.
