The trip to Columbus was good, but way too short. There is a picture or two, but nothing too special, aside from the best dance show by a 7 year old in modern history. The nice part about Columbus is their new smoking ban. Two trips to the bar and a stop at Waffle House and not even a hint of “that old bar smell”. It’s awesome. It kind of killed the bar atmosphere a little early, but I really didn’t mind. The people I cared to drink with were still around.
I don’t know what’s more frustrating about the NHL lockout, that its still going on, or that they set a new “drop dead” date every other day. Right now, with the most recent “deadline” having passed, if they were to start the season today, it would be a whole 28 games long, barely a third of a regular season. While I’d like to see hockey back, I don’t think it’s going to happen, and I really don’t know that I could get into a 28 game season. The scary thing now is that they’re already talking about blowing off NEXT season as well. How could they possibly expect to have ANY fans if they take two years off, and still have no guarantee of a third season after that? It’s just silly.
Completely randomly, how did the Grammy folks get the old school James Brown back? Of course, regardless of how much like a sex machine he looked, I still couldn’t stop thinking about this clip. I feel good! HA!
He did a great job of passing Karl Malone and his cowboy hat for the title of “silliest thing I saw today”.
