Major props have to go out this afternoon to the SID department at Bowling Green. After many instances of wondering why they don’t have access to the history of the program anywhere online (and a website created to help with that purpose), today they posted a PDF version of their entire media guide online. I have been critical of some of what they’ve done in the past, as an alum and fan 3-plus hours away, there always seemed to be some information missing. This was a HUGE step in rectifying that, in my opinion. Of course, thanks to some networking, the hard copy should be in my mailbox by tomorrow at the lastest.

Or so I’m told.

One thing about the media guide, and I don’t know the true legal ramifications of it, but as long as I don’t make any money off the site and give credit where credit is due, is that old photos can be grabbed and used at will. Of course, scanning from the media guides has already broken open a treasure chest of old photos, like this one:

So, the first pic I decided to dig out of the PDF and share goes back a couple weeks to the BlogPoll roundtable discussion about rivalry games. I commented on the “Cub Scout-looking trophy” that BG and Toledo play for, and now here it is:
