My God… If I see another lightning bolt, I might hurt someone. Most likely myself, and probably by repeatedly pounding my head into a wall. Tonight I saw, touched, and even gathered some of the largest hail in my life. I always thought “golf ball-sized hail” was a myth or a hallucination. Not so. That shit is real. Now I can only imagine how people can deal with “baseball”, “softball” or “grapefruit” sized hail. Unbelievable.<\/p>\n
The bright side? Overtime at work tonight.<\/p>\n
The down side? My car, which was for the most part blemish-free (a couple scratches and the large dent in the front corner panel from some nutless jackass aside, of course) is now somewhat dinged. I’ll have to double check it and get some second opinions, but I don’t think it’s worth hassling for the insurance money, but it might be.
