They’ve kicked off baseball season with a fun mostly-daily feature called “The Closer”<\/a>, five or so tidbits from the night that was in MLB play. However, upon closer look, three of the five “episodes” have led off with something Yankee-related. The other two were about Jimmy Rollins’ hitting streak (and subsequently, hitting streak that was), and on one of those days, the Yankees popped in at #2.<\/p>\n I know it’s early, the feature is new, but if next week’s “Closer” features updates on David Ortiz’s choice of hemmerhoid medication, or where A-Rod and Jeter (JeRod to the tabloids) shop for toys, I’m going to have to get Pedro Gomez on the story.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Don’t get me wrong, I love me some Deadspin.
