I had the whole BlogPoll done, posted, ready to go, and WordPress (or maybe my own database) burped<\/strike> threw up all over itself shortly thereafter, and the post was erased. That sucks, too, because this one was the most complete, fairly well thought out, and downright most clever BlogPoll I’ve done yet.<\/p>\n
Without going into the full list (because honestly, I don’t remember it), here are the highlights:<\/p>\n
Top 5: Texas, USC, Penn State, Ohio State, West Virginia
\nSomewhere, in some order just outside the Top 5: Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Georgia, LSU (I think).<\/p>\n
Michigan made it in around 24, Toledo (ugh) was 25, Virginia Tech was whacked considerably for the work of Ron New Mexico and the cover-up that ensued, even falling a few spots below the Louisville team they beat (14th and 17th, I think). <\/p>\n
There was a nice little comment about a “nice little team knocking on #3 Penn State’s door” and wondering aloud to JoePa “What do you do?”, followed by a scripture-esque (or more likely Rocky and Bullwinkle-esque) comment about New Math, that was really good, but now I forget what it was. <\/p>\n
