Just four days into the new year, barely into the sixth year of the millenium, and already we have a winner for “OOPS! Of the Year\/Millenium”<\/a>. <\/p>\n

(I’m sure there are plenty of other news sources out there for this, but Wizbang’s — presumably accidental — use of the “update” as a “Holy shit! Gotcha!” is too good to pass up. Then again, it’s 12:15, this is probably way old news by now.) <\/p>\n

What a tragic story, made even more so by what seems to have been a bad game of “telephone”. It will be interesting to see how it actually went down from “We have 12 alive!” to “We’ve got 11 dead!”. Strange stuff indeed.<\/p>\n

As for the one survivor (for now), I can’t help but think back to college days when I hear the phrase “unconscious but moaning”. But here’s hoping he makes a full recovery.
