Apparently, my brother<\/a> has jumped ship. For some reason he wanted the flexibility and features of Xanga for his online writing, so he’s run off to join the high school kids for his site. I do kind of like that it gives a place to post what you’re reading\/writing\/listening to with each post, but I’m sure with some digging I can give him that same functionality and more without all the Xanga business that goes on around it. <\/p>\n

Still waiting to hear from McSweeney’s<\/a> to see if I’m a published humorist. For those not familiar, they have a section called something like “An Open Letter To Something That Can’t Possibly Respond” or such. So, when Royals DH\/1B (and former catcher, dammit!) Mike Sweeney got hit on the wrist by a pitch last night, I figured what better thing to do than submit an Open Letter about Mike Sweeney to McSweeney’s? (Incidentally, “mikesweeney.net” belongs to some crazy guy, I think.) The submission process is a little bizarre, but it is what it is, and we’ll see how that goes.<\/p>\n

Also, my procrastination with BGSUsports.com<\/a> has led to a potential new idea. Something I never heard of called “MamboServer”, which supposedly loads really easy thanks to my hosting company, and looks like it could make page publishing a snap, might get a whirl in the near future. Then again, that site has had more ideas than I have brain cells in the last 3 months, so maybe I’ll stick with the status quo.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
